Yoga teacher Training in India free extra classes

200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course
Rishikesh Yoga Vedanta Centre's (RYS 200 YA US) 200 Hour, One Month Intensive Teacher Training Course is an internationally accredited program with Yoga Alliance USA, Yoga Alliance UK, Yoga Alliance international and the International Yoga Federation. Graduates who successfully complete the program are eligible to become RYT’s ® (Registered Yoga Teachers). Our Teacher Training Course delivers a comprehensive, theoretical and practical hands on training program that includes Asanas, Pranayama, Kriyas, anatomy, Ayurveda, adjusting, sequencing, mantra chanting, meditation and other traditional and contemporary Yoga techniques.
Our training blends traditional Eastern teachings by Indian Masters of Yoga, Philosophy and Ayurveda combined with teachings from highly experienced and dynamic Western teachers. This marriage of backgrounds gives our students the opportunity to learn in an authentic Yoga setting whilst gaining the skills required to impart these teachings practically and relevantly in a global yoga environment.
Our training stands alone by providing students with expert lecturers and teachers assigned to each subject who are experts in their fields. Our school recognises the value of having teachers specific to each subject rather than one or two teachers covering the entire syllabus. We are entirely dedicated as a team to providing each individual student with the care and attention required to attain a high level of knowledge and teaching competence.
Substantial emphasis is placed on analytic training on how to teach and practice these techniques as well as guided practice of the techniques. In conjunction, you will learn Patanjali’s Eight Limb yoga philosophy and how you can incorporate this into your own practice and day-to-day life. Daily chanting, meditation and pranayama provide spiritual structure and compliment the more physical practices of the curriculum.
The Curriculum takes you through the essential elements required to deepen and enrich your own yoga practice and to teach students with confidence. Our expert team of teachers will guide you from the fundamental stages to teaching with ease.
At Rishikesh Yoga Vedanta we believe that the foremost outcome on a Teacher Training Course should be the ability to teach a professional class with excellent skills when you complete your Yoga training. We greatly value the emotional, spiritual, physical and mental investment students make to attend our trainings and this is why we place such strong emphasis on teaching time during our trainings
Rishikesh Yoga Vedanta Teachers come from a rich variety of backgrounds and lineages ensuring our students learn from various disciplines and streams whilst developing as teachers themselves. Gopal utilizes the modified primary Hatha yoga series as a consistent and solid foundation from which students can develop their individual teaching style. With his background as an Iyengar student Gopal places strong emphasis on correcting alignment and maintaining integrity in asana as a both a trainee and teacher. During the course you will have the opportunity to apply these alignment techniques to your own practice and as a teacher. One of the most rewarding and popular aspects of our trainings is the focus placed on learning adjustments under the guidance of senior teachers. These adjustments are practiced throughout the training and benefit our graduate teachers greatly when they begin to teach back home.
The fundamental sequencing and mode of asana practice during the course is Hatha Yoga Flow. Students work from the Hatha Yoga Modified Primary Series in order to develop confidence through an in depth knowledge of a specific set of postures. Trainees us this series as a solid platform to teach from and to develop their own unique styles utilizing the various traditions and techniques taught during the training.
After being immersed in this series with Gopal students then go on to teach from the same series- graduate teachers leave with a wealth of knowledge being able to teach over 40 postures with confidence. Students also learn the ins and outs of correct alignment, adjustments and modifications for these postures to ensure they can teach with maximum emphasis on inclusiveness and safety.
Our training has a holistic emphasis on learning by also incorporating other traditions and styles of yoga such as Iyengar, Hatha, Raja and Vinyasa Flow. Trainees are encouraged to bring their individual styles to the primary series. A training manual will be provided to support your lectures, practice and personal yoga development.
Our Curriculum is developed from the Yoga Alliance 200 Hour Teacher Training Standards and includes the following subjects :

Study Yoga in Rishikesh, India

Learning yoga in Rishikesh is a truly unique & life changing experience. Rishikesh has been the cradle of this ancient wisdom tradition for centuries. Many great saints and numerous practitioners have spent their lives practicing and developing this wonderful science of life in these very mountains. Yoga students feel a very palpable spiritual energy and grace when they spend time in practice here.
The benefits of studying yoga in Rishikesh are so many, but the foremost reason for coming here is perhaps that everyone is here for the same reason and you instantly share a passion in common. Normally when you encounter new people there may be something in common; you are from the same town, work in the same profession, have similar hobbies, kids-house-garden and all that… but for most people here; yoga is a passion and sharing a passion creates very strong bonds. Bonds that stretch across oceans, nations, cultures, religions, age, gender and sometimes last a lifetime… That is why there are so many tear-filled goodbyes at the end of each course at Rishikesh Yoga Vedanta. People connected through their hearts, through their passion for yoga, who have for six weeks been tied together in a web of wordless understanding, sharing their dreams and climbing the same ladder towards the desired diploma has reached the point of separation. It is painful. Leaving the yoga tribe, a temporary spiritual family of equal minded souls in one of the most spiritual places in the world..
But why should one choose Rishikesh Yoga Vedanta when there are so many schools available? That is of course up to each individual to answer, but for me (Tolmie - RYT 200-hours completed in July 2013) personally it turned out to be a great choice. Rishikesh Yoga Vedanta offers a package concept of traditional style of yoga (asanas, pranayama, meditation, philosophy and physiology), nice accomodation, excellent food and available teachers all in one peaceful place. When I decided to become a certified yoga teacher it was important for me to get a proper, international yoga certification from a registered school (RYS 200) with dedicated teachers, offering 200-hour residential yoga teacher training. I had been to Rishikesh on a holiday two years before and it somehow felt destined to return to this little town for some life changing six weeks.
